Accepting these terms

These terms cover your use of the Mastercraft Antioch Masonry and Concrete website and the estimates and work you ask us for through it. By using this site, calling us or sending the form on our contact page, you agree to these terms.

When we do a job for you, the written estimate or contract you sign controls that job. If it says something different from this page, the signed document wins.

What we do

We're a masonry contractor in Antioch, CA, and we also take concrete work. Our jobs include foundation, chimney, brick, block, stone, paver and walkway work in Antioch and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew on the About page or start from our home page.

What's on this site explains our work in general terms so you know what to expect. It isn't an inspection, an engineering opinion or a quote for your house, because we can't judge a wall, slab or chimney until we've seen it in person.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free and done at your property, and you're under no pressure to book. Each estimate lists the work, materials and price we're proposing, and we hold it for the period written on it.

Masonry and concrete jobs sometimes turn up problems you can't see from the outside, such as a rotted footing, loose brick behind a face or poor soil under old concrete. If that happens, we stop, show you what we found and give you the added cost in writing. We don't do extra work or charge for it until you approve it.

Scheduling and cancellation

We give you a start date when you book, and we'll tell you as soon as we know if it has to move. Rain, heat and curing time often decide when mortar and concrete can go down, so weather delays are part of this work and aren't a breach of our agreement.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, call us at (925) 503-1025 as early as you can. Cancellation before work starts is handled under your signed contract and any cancellation rights California law gives you. If we've already ordered special materials for your job, the contract explains what you'd owe for them.

Payment terms

The amount, payment schedule and accepted payment methods for each job are written in your contract before we start. Any deposit we ask for will follow that contract and state law.

Final payment is due when the work in the contract is done, unless the contract says otherwise. If a payment is late, we may pause work until the account is brought current.

Our guarantee and warranty limits

We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work with a satisfaction guarantee. If something in our work isn't right, tell us and we'll come back to look at it. The written warranty terms for your job, including how long they last and what they cover, are in your contract.

Concrete and masonry move with the ground and the weather, so small hairline cracks and color differences between new and old material are normal and aren't defects. Our warranty doesn't cover damage from settling soil we didn't work on, drainage problems outside our scope, misuse, or changes someone else makes later. Bricks, pavers, stone and other products carry their makers' own warranties, which we pass along to you.

Apart from the written warranty on your job, this website and its content are provided as is, with no warranty of any kind.

Limitation of liability

We work to keep this site accurate, but we aren't responsible for losses that come from relying on its general information instead of an on-site estimate. We also aren't responsible for outside websites this site may link to.

To the extent California law allows, our total liability for any claim tied to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing here limits rights the law doesn't let a contractor take away.

If we disagree about something

Call us first, because most problems get settled faster on the phone or at your house than anywhere else. If we can't work it out together, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court.

Any court case will be heard in Contra Costa County, California, unless the law requires a different place.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the current one. Changes don't affect a job you've already signed a contract for, unless we both agree in writing.
